Progress done on old Deano here, working up with 4H H F HB and 2B on certain areas of the face. I use 3H to make a sort of wayward flow on the left cheek, i've also made use of a kneadable eraser on the cheek as well as lightening up the lip and nose. Again, using a Faber Castell 4H allows for a nice blended affect without actually blending which i find quite nice. I've made use of natural light in this photo opposed to my desk lamp or ceiling light. I have also worked more on the shadow covering the forehead with the use of F HB and 2B pencils. I've darkened the shadow and merged it with the eyebrow to give it more of a flow effect, though it may not appear as of yet (may need more work). I was able to lighten up the part of the eyebrow in the light exposed area and hope that it will look natural once the portrait is completed. With the shadow of the nose i will proceed to darken using a H F and HB pencil. There is scruff under the bottom lip which is marked but not fully worked yet.
Thank you kindly so far if you've kept up with the flow of my work in progress shots. At the moment i have this and two other portraits in the works and i vary my time on each so as to not get bored or idle with one.
Thank you kindly for viewing!
